Service Agreement

Before starting any project, Illustrative Home Designer requires a signed written contract. This contract outlines the scope of work, payment schedule, and other essential details. Our quotes are valid for 30 days, after which they may need to be revised based on changes in material costs or labor rates. Once the contract is signed, both parties are legally bound by its terms.

Payment Terms

We offer flexible payment terms to suit your needs:

• Upfront Payment: A 30% deposit is due before work commences.
• Mid-Project Payment: A 40% payment is required once we reach the project’s halfway point.
• Final Payment: The remaining 30% is due upon completion of the project, when you are fully satisfied with the work.

Payments can be made via check, credit card, or bank transfer. Late payments may result in additional charges and could delay project completion.

Warranty

We offer a 5-year warranty on all labor and installation services. This warranty covers defects in workmanship, but not damages caused by accidents, misuse, or natural wear and tear. Additionally, manufacturer warranties on materials are passed on to you, the homeowner. However, the warranty is void if unauthorized modifications are made after the project is completed.

Delays

We strive to complete all projects on time; however, certain factors may cause delays. These include:

• Weather Conditions: Inclement weather may halt outdoor work or delay material deliveries.
• Permit Issues: Delays in permit approvals from local authorities may affect project timelines.
• Supply Chain Issues: Delays in the availability of materials may impact our ability to proceed with specific tasks.
• Unforeseen Structural Issues: Sometimes, during renovations, we may discover hidden structural issues that require additional time and resources to address.

While we make every effort to stay on schedule, Illustrative Home Designer is not liable for delays caused by these factors. We will notify you as soon as we become aware of any significant delays and provide updates on the revised timeline.

Termination

Either party may terminate the contract with written notice. If you choose to terminate the contract before the project is completed, you will be responsible for any work already completed, including materials purchased. Any unpaid balances for completed work must be settled in full. If Illustrative Home Designer decides to terminate the contract, you will be refunded for any uncompleted work and unused materials.

Governing Law

This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Illustrative Home Designer is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the state of registration.
